Marketers' professional certification

Russian Marketing Association carries out a program of professional certification in marketing. Russian specialists have an opportunity to go through study courses and get a professional certificate in marketing acknowledged by the Western companies without leaving the country.

Russian Marketing Association has signed an agreement with the Netherlands Institute of Marketing (NIMA) and the Education & Training Center of the Netherlands (ETCN) about setting up an educational and certification program for marketers in Russia.

The Netherlands Institute of Marketing unites over 3 000 members and annually holds around 10 000 exams in marketing, sales, PR and market research. NIMA was founded over 35 years ago. Extended education system developed by NIMA has much appraisal in Europe and is considered to be one of the most competent in the professional environment.

In year 2004 14 trainers from the leading Russian universities went through a training program in the Netherlands. These teachers who combine both practical and academic marketing experience form the teaching pool for NIMA program in Russia.

The main idea of NIMA certification system is division of the studying process and examination. NIMA develops standards for teaching marketers and holds examinations, but does not participate in the studying process itself. The courses are held by NIMA's partners. In Russia such a partner is the Russian Marketing Association. The system guarantees a unified standard of examination and an equal level of qualification of NIMA programs graduates.

NIMA has developed three examination programs of different level: assistants, marketing specialists and top-managers dealing with strategic marketing. All listed examination programs will be carried out by RAM in the framework of the education program.

For the Russian business-community the possibility of including our marketers into European certification and post-college formation is of huge interest. Russian companies are able to hire marketing specialists acquainted with the Western marketing instruments. Russian specialists have a qualifications status, acknowledged by the Western companies, which ensure in practice their access to professional activities equally with the citizens of all European countries.

Certification program is supported by the European Marketing Confederation (EMC).
